Successful Birthday
Just closing down the house from a successful first birthday party for our little girl. We could not have asked for a more picture perfect day, 70 degrees and sunny. Annalea celebrated her day with a few friends and family. She showed little interest in her gifts, but the cohort of two and three year olds were more that happy to take care of her gifts for her. Several times Annalea almost escaped the gift opening by crawling underneath the paper and reappearing on the other side of the room.
I had some concerns about Carson's ability to cede the spotlight to his sister, but since all of the kids here were Carson's pals, it didn't seem to be a problem. Carson was on full tilt all day. He decided to forgo his nap and focus entirely on having fun.
